Jeffrey Snipes
After receiving his B.A. and M.A. in Administration of Justice from Penn State University in 1991, Jeff Snipes received his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Albany (2002), and his J.D. from Stanford Law School (2001). In addition to holding positions at the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services at the U.S. Department of Justice, the ACLU of Northern California, and the San Francisco Coalition of Homelessness, he has taught at Florida State and Seattle Universities. He is currently a Professor of the Department of Criminal Justice Studies at San Francisco State University. He has extensive experience as a law enforcement consultant, working with such departments as Richmond (Virginia), Richmond (California), San Francisco, St. Petersburg (Florida), Indianapolis, and Trinidad and Tobago. In the Philippines, he worked as an undercover operative for Project Lantern, alongside the International Justice Mission, combatting the sex trafficking of minors. He is a member of the California Bar Association.
Jeff Snipes primarily teaches criminal law, extremist crime, criminal justice administration and management (MPA), and a culminating field experience for graduating seniors. He has also taught criminal procedure, police and public policy, criminology theory, racial profiling, research methods, statistics, law and social control, and other courses.
